El Valle del Jerte.

We are in a
natural environment of stunning scenery and mountain streams. A strategic point
for excursions, walking (to the nature reserve, the Garganta de los Infiernos,
Honduras Pass etc), horse-riding, cycling, fishing, canoeing and savouring our
traditional gastronomy.
VISITING THE NATURE RESERVE “GARGANTA DE LOS INFIERNOS”
From the Tourist Office, go onto the
N-110 main road and turn right towards the town of Jerte. After about 2.5 km,
you come to the Los Arenales Hotel and an alabaster craft shop (with a thatched
hut). Just opposite, on your right, take a narrow road signed Camping
and Interpretation Centre, following the wall of a sports centre. Follow on
over a narrow bridge crossing the Jerte River, and you come to an open space
and car-park of the Interpretation Centre of the reserve. Leave your car here
and begin the route on foot.
